The Ninja of GeneralNinjaCosplay’s first cosplay creation was born when her workplace held an annual Halloween contest. Her sister (the General) also wanted to take her to her first comic con later that year so she decided to create a costume that would work for both – Astrid Hofferson’s outfit from the second movie of the How To Train Your Dragon series.

Since money was tight, the Ninja thrifted most of her cosplay – all of the fur came from a single fur coat. She even created a little Toothless outfit for her black dog (who was definitely not as into it as she was). And while the cosplay wasn’t an exact replica of the movie’s, the Ninja learned that kids and adults alike would be excited regardless of accuracy, as long as they got to see one of their favorite characters brought to life.

Her viking obsession has continued with her addition of a Lagertha cosplay from the show Vikings, as well as Sabrina Spellman (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) and Lucy Stevens (Detective Pikachu).
